Title: Haz and Family Members Join Special Forces

I think this well demonstrates why joining Special Forces is a younger cat's game...

or thinking.... ;)

That is true...but they show a lot of courage, determination and initiative.  With 10 or 15 more IQ points they could be Marines    ;D ;D

That's where Kangaroo became a Captain.

The U.S. Marine Corps was so flattered that Bugs Bunny decides to become a marine in the Supper Rabbit film that they insisted that the character be officially inducted into the force as a private, which was done, complete with dogtags. The character was regularly promoted until Bugs was officially "discharged" at the end of World War II as a Master Sergeant.

So among memorable USMC phrases such as "First to fight" and "Gung Ho" you will find
"Eeeeh, What's up Doc ?" and," I knew I should have turned left at Alberquoikie"

I don't know that your list is that accurate Tom!

Allen Sheppard was a Navy Pilot and I don't think Robin Williams ever served in the military, at least not from a quick review!  He graduated from HS in 1969 and attended Julliard from 1973 to 76.  No mention of the years between on wiki..

I screwed up on Shepphard, I started from the top of my head, and he came to mind because he's a local boy.
Based on his appearance on "Inside the Actor's Studio" Robin Williams did 4 years in the USMC including one tour in Vietnam reaching the rank of Sgt.
The rest of them, as well as many more are listed here

You have to watch the whole thing to find the reference

Watched about 19 minutes and the only reference was his draft number of 351 and his relief of not being drafted.  He chose to go to college (junior) in a poly sci curriculum instead of enlisting.  The conversation went to his time at Julliard after that.

I like Robin Williams but he was never in the military as far as I can tell.

Later on when he's talking about disciplining his kids he mentions it.
That is, if I got the right show, I don't know how many times he was on it.

I don't know if he did or not, but a hitch in the Marines leaves a mark that's hard to hide, and I don't see it on Robin Williams..
I could be biased though.. Every time I see the guy he makes me think that he's out "Alan Alda'ed" Alan Alda..  :P

I don't know about that, look at Jonathan Winters or Drew Carey, can you visualize either of them in the first half of "Full Metal Jacket" ?  (Which I have to say is the most authentic depiction of Boot Camp I have ever seen, they even had the floor the right color. )
