In print pretty blah blah. It was a domestic, the guy shot his ex (and obtw, the mother of his two kids >:() then offed himself. Why he shot six of her coworkers is beyond me. Nothing about if they were targeted or he just shot up the joint. These guys need to learn to commit the suicide first, then the murder. Either way, it doesn't seem, at least in print be getting played up like Aurora.

I only watch the local stuff! No cable to speak of either...

Not a lot of coverage when compared to the more recent shootings. There are IMHO a couple of reasons for that.
- He had the gun illegally to start with.
- He violated a restraining order. Those keep you safe, dontcha know.
- He was a minority, hard to play the victim card
- The press is too busy with debate prep.

Is it not getting much air time because the shooter was black?

I saw a report on the news tonight that claimed FBI statistics show 50% of all murders over the last 10 years have been domestic.

If race had anything to do with it, it was because the victims were black, and black on black crime doesn't hit the headlines as much. But probably, as has been stated, because it was a domestic thing, not a random nutcase/terrorist, and so common as dirt. And because of the debates the media doesn't have an hour of dead air to fill.
