Hi Michael,
Have you or anyone else heard anything about the soon to be released H&K P30 9mm pistol? It has been released in Europe (originally named the P3000) and is getting great reviews with many police departments in Europe already using them or awaiting delivery. I am considering one as it seems to have combined the best features of the P2000 and USP, but can't seem to get much detail other than that, including at the HK forums. It seems that H&K have addressed their higher bore axis problem with this pistol, similar to the modification they have made to their HK 45, which should make for a fine, durable and incredibly accurate shooting pistol with less snappy recoil.
I even saw it in a brochure at my local gun shop yesterday, but no one seems to know anything about it or when we can purchase the pistol. The belief is, based on what it sells for in Europe, that it will retail in the high $800 to low $900 range here in the United States.
Thanks for any information.

Sadly, the P30 was not on display at the ShotShow. I did get to fondle the HK45 -- and it was very nice! I really like my Tactical and Compact Tactical in .45 ACP, I'd be interested in this new offering when it becomes available on the US market. Hopefully, they will not treat it as a non-civilian item like the HK 416...

For those of you that haven't seen the P30 yet, here it is..........http://www.hkpro.com/p3000.htm
This photo is fairly old as it was still called the P3000 when this was taken last year. The final version P30 has been widely popular since its introduction in Europe and it has definitely been slated for US distribution. The question is when?

I was going to say, didn't see it at SHOT.
I don't know how much of a presence H-K will have at NRA, but if they're there, I'll ask them.
