It is election day! I like to treat is seriously, so right along with my normal daily routine I make sure I present myself in a professional manor (shut the F up TT!), and since this is a major event I cleaned my gun last night. Hate to present a less than a professional and polished image at this serious event.
Do you clean you carry gun, and oil the leather if you use leather prior to voting?
Exercise your Right and fulfill your responsibility: Get out and vote today!

I don't even know if its legal here to carry at a polling place, that is in a garage. I know in a gov building its a no no. time to do sone reading.
-
Always keep your carry gun clean.
I remember a scene from a Bob Hope western.
The 'Black Hat' was telling how important it was to keep your gun cleaned and Bob Hope made the comment:
Yes, you wouldn't want to kill a man with a dirty bullet.
;D ;D

ROFL! As to carrying, not for me. I don't whether its legal in any polling place, but mine is the school side of a church, so its a no no. Of course if the New Black Panthers had been there, I might have gone back to the truck and opened the glove box. ;)

Do they have metal detectors?
Concealed means concealed!
Don't ask Don't tell is a favorite of the sitting President!

So what your saying is braking the law is ok as long as you are not cuaght?
-
I just asked some random questions. What about you makes you think I would recommend breaking the law?
Know your local laws and how they affect your daily life!

I doubt I'm going to get shot up in the school wing of my local Methodist Church. What I don't doubt is that if for whatever bizarre reason I were to somehow to get caught carrying a gun in a school, very bad, and very expensive things would happen, the least of which would be losing my CCW. So, I left it in the truck, and even that is iffy.

That sentence right there is what has lead many sheep to the slaughter. The daily news is full of stories everyday of people, who if they could still talk, saying I didn't think I would run into trouble at ...
As for me, I can, I will, and I don't care what anyone else thinks!

In GA, polling places are specifically mentioned in the law as an off-limits area for CCW.

tt11758-1/2 and I voted last week at the courthouse. We both carried. While you can't carry a gun in court in Iowa, there is no prohibition from carrying it in the courtHOUSE. In fact, in my county, the courtrooms, Clerk's Office, etc, are on the 3rd floor of the courthouse, and that is the ONLY place in the courthouse that is posted.

What the hell did I do? ;D
And yes, I did clean it before voting.

Cut him some slack, he stressed over worrying about the results. I'm sure he'll settle down tommorow when Mitt wins.

True, but what's the more likely threat, that someone spots the gun and calls the cops, or that some maniac bursts in on a small church in a good neighborhood and starts shooting? I think its the anti-gun busy body calling the cops and then me being up to my neck in it. So, the gun stayed in the truck.

I live in a carry state and have no problem not being noticed ... except for cute little co-ed waitresses that can't keep their hands off my body, but that is an old story to be remembered again, and again, and again, and again ... where was I ???
Oh yea, I am not saying carry where you shouldn't, but if you live in a conceal state keeping it concealed should be the last of your concerns or problems!

I agree, and if you find the Bond I keep in the front pocket of my jeans you better be using a metal detector or have bought me dinner first. ;D Still, if the consequenses of getting caught are a serious criminal charge and the threat level is very low, I play by the rules.

Weighing various risk factors is a chance we all have to take and the variables change from state to state, sometimes even county to county.
And yes, I carried no I didn't clean it specifically for the day.
-
Whether or not I carried at the poll today depends on whether or not it is legal here. ;)
The rest of the day, though, I carried. I even upped my carry package to a larger framed gun and another spare mag.
Every thing else is loaded up and ready for when the world implodes in the next few hours. (I hope I'm joking about the implosion.) Nothing got specially cleaned.

"Jesus loves you". A great sentient in church, in prison not so much. ;D
