I Picked it up while up in PA on leave. I have taken it to the range unfortunatly it would not work. I was trying to use Hornaday LeverRevolution Ammunition. This ammo would not feed from the tube or fire when loaded dirrectly into the chamber. The primer hit was very faint. So I contacted them via E-mail. The response I recieved stated that they do not recommend the use of the Hornady Ammo, and that I should try another brand before sending it in for repair. So tomorrow I will take it to the range ang try some Remington Express Rifle 300gr SJHP. I hope they work. If not of it goes to the factory. I compared the Hornaday to the Remington and the COAL of the Hornaday stuff is around a 1/4" longer, probably what was causing the feed issues. Though that does not explain the light primer strike

WE have a golden boy (.22) and there has never been a problem with it. Good luck with the ammo check.

So sorry about the light primer strikes. I like Henry. US made and all.
Surely they'll make it right and soon you'll be regaling us with pictures of the B&C record whitetail you shot with it.

Swamp Yankee,
I had an old J.C. Higgins (remember them?) 20 gauge bolt that would lite strike the shell intermittently. Turned out to be a broken firing pin. Hope your problem turns out to be something simple. Otherwise, they have to give you a new rifle and you wouldn't want that, would you?

The "House guns" were name brand guns stamped with a store's brand name, The JC Higgins .22 I grew up with was actually a Marlin, the bolt action makes me think your 20 ga was a Mossberg, I had one in .410.

Got a response from Henry today they are going to send me a shipping label to send it back for repair. :)
So far I have to say I am at least pleased with thier customer service.

Nice that it's on their dime. Hope you get it back soon.

I got an email from Henry yesterday that said they were almost back in operation after sustaining extensive storm damage to the factory and equipment. The gun shops might not be as affected, but there might be some delay. They think they'll be back in full swing by the end of December.

The Shooting Wire says they were hit hard by Sandy and hope to have all the equipment back on line soon.
