Hmmmm heres a few hints
-
You North Koreans better watch out, you don't want to piss us off.
Sad but that's exactly how Obama won.
-
I am ashamed to say that part of the interviews was taken in downtown San Antonio Tx outside of the ALAMO. As an excuse all I can say (AND HOPE) that they were all tourists from out of state. In my heart though I know I am wrong.

OK... maybe we should reconsider this whole RFID thing.

Based on some of those answers, let's leave everything on the table - GPS beacons implanted beneath the skin, blood hounds, special squads to round 'em up and drag 'em to class, no food or water without passing test scores, and electrified classroom chairs for those appearing distracted by i-whatevers or that last text message.
Seriously, I try to keep hope alive but witnessing things like that makes it REALLY hard. Prayer - I think that's all we have left.

The really sad part is that many of those people were College students or graduates.
I've got to admit that one of those questions got me too .
Even self educated I've no clue who the 5th man on the moon was .

Worked with administrators at a school district and was going over the computer calculations for report cards and found that none of them in the room had a working knowledge of 9th grade Algebra.
Spent half an hour trying to convince them that x/3 * 6 was the same as x * 2 Gave up and just went on with getting the job done.
-
Just goes to prove that there is no favorable relationship between "schooling" and "education".
Generaly speaking the longer someone spends in school the dumber they get.
-
Well, college was an awakening for me....and in a good sense.
Took an Electronics course as an elective and during the study of how capacitors charge and discharge I saw all those curves that we had to know back in Algebra.
It was then that I realized Math was an invention used to model the real world...it all sort of came clear.
Greatest invention of man... and it worked pretty well...well it did till the world got round ;D ;D ;D

Mehhh, six of one, half dozen of the other.

Sickening ! ! !

"Believe me, I don't know the answer to this question....but I'm thinking."
That's classic stuff right there............
And everybody knows that Star Wars was real, that's how the old guy knew there were three World Wars!!!
Sad.
-
I'm surprised that someone didn't say, "Man, that's what Google is for !"
-
It has been argued by historians that there actually have been 3 world wars .
They counted the Napoleonic wars as the first since it involved the first use of mass conscription creating armies on a scale never before imagined, All major powers were involved and the land and naval forces engaged on every continent except the Antarctic.

Alas my fellow DRTV peeps I dont think its a exclusive USA situation, we have our own fair share of numpties and its not improving.

Jay Leno has been doing a similar kind of "man on the street" thing for some time. The one I particularly recall was him pointing to our national ensign snapping in a brisk breeze and asking a young woman how many stars were on it? "I can't tell," she answered, "It's blowing too hard to count them."
That was the death knell for my faith in the younger generations.
I feel so much better now that I have given up all hope.
Sheesh...
