Title: What happened to Rapid Fire?
Post by: BAC on December 19, 2012, 07:17:54 PM
Why isn't Rapid Fire on at 8:00?  The program guide says it's Rapid Fire, but there's a hunting show on instead.

Is The Outdoor Channel going to screw us, too?

I have just been told that the reruns of Rapid Fire has been taken off from the lineup for this week and next week.

The new episodes of Shooting Gallery and The Best Defense will run from January 2nd as planned.

The Discovery Channel did not promote Ted's shows so they had low ratings, too bad, I only found a couple but wre pretty good. American Guns was canceled at the end of it's last season, not because of the shootings. Both shows promoted the shooting sports in a good way! I see they still have the whacky Preppers show on though!

A lot of people never really got into American Guns anyway.  Ted's show wasn't marketed at all so most didn't know it existed, I didn't until a week ago.  Discovery has been shaking up the lineup for a while and low performers were bound to go away when something new shows up.  I do find it "hinky" that they waited until after a shooting to announce it though.  If this hadn't happened, they would have announced them shutting down anyway.

Recorded another listing of Rapid Fire later on Wednesday (before starting this thread).  Just checked it out and was treated to the 1911 episode of Gun Stories.  What a good show!
