Outdoor Channel premieres season 5 of The Best Defense on January 2, 2013 hosted by Michael Bane, Michael Janich and Mike Seeklander. The show teaches self defense through knowledge, preparation and awareness for men and women alike. The show features defense methods that involve: firearms, unarmed defensive situations, and self-defense product reviews. Every episode includes practical tips and techniques for self defense.

Whoa!!! Did I get caught off guard!

I didn't read the times, and as I'm sitting here nursing a nasty cold I checked Outdoor Channel for tonight's plans.

I know that you guys don't control it, and I am pleased to see more relevant shows.  However, if Shooting USA  can have as much time as they are getting in good slots as many times as they do, can't they put you guys in decent slots?

Oh well.  Catching the last ten minutes, and it looks good enough I'll take an early evening nap so I can stay up late and still be on the road at 4am.

Yea I know the options, but one day a week, and this week is tomorrow, I commute 155 miles to my office and need to be there by 7am.  Late nights ain't good and neither is getting up even earlier to catch that one. 

Enough whining!

DVR is all set and ready to record the series in the event I can not watch in real time.  Looking forward to another great season!

 ???   My carrier doesn't identify the episodes so the dvr doesn't understand how to record as a series.

Marshal, Michael, etc., not everyone is familiar wth smart phones. Might be a great opportunity to teach people to use them in their best defense and offense to put the bad person behind bars. This would be the time to teach how to use video on the smart phone to give the good guys evidence and protect the citizen. I am new to smart phones and am sure many others are just joining the Jones. Would be nice to have someone teach us the basics to put the devices to our best interest. I think this would be the bes opportunity ever for DRTV.
