As posted elsewhere, Senator Feinstein plans to introduce her gun ban bill on January 3rd - the first day of the new Congressional session. Here are some resources you can use to plan your personal response.

In addition to phone calls, emails, and letters please consider including faxes in your contacts with legislators. If you do not have access to a fax machine then you can try an online fax service. Many services are available and most will offer a 30-day free trial. Here is a review of the 'Top 5' online services: http://www.onlinefaxservice.com/ (http://www.onlinefaxservice.com/). Contacting your legislators using multiple formats is very effective and will often serve to amplify your message.
Even though Senator Feinstein's bill has garnered the most attention, a companion bill will be introduced in the House as well. It will be necessary for you to contact your representatives in both the House and the Senate. Let's make sure this stinker never makes it to conference.

Senator,
This is just a note to remind you that your constituents do pay attention. When I was active duty, I swore an oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. You have done the same. Your constituents expect you to follow through on that oath. We expect you to vote against Senator Feinstein's bill, the moment you are capable of doing so. Failure to do so will indicate that you have no faith or trust in the ordinary law abiding citizen. Nor any belief in upholding the Constitution. We, the people, would then find it necessary to find a suitable replacement for your Senate seat.
I don't wish to sound harsh. I just hope to make this position understood. Good day sir,
The above was just emailed to Sen R. Portman. I can't email a rep yet because I am in a 'redistricted' area. My new congress critter and I have history though. Perhaps he will listen to me when I call.
Edited to add, I upgraded my NRA membership to a 5 year today.
