"In addition to potential legislative proposals, Biden’s group has expanded its focus to include measures that would not need congressional approval and could be quickly implemented by executive action, according to interest-group leaders who have discussed options with Biden and key Cabinet secretaries. Possibilities include changes to federal mental-health programs and modernization of gun-tracking efforts by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives."

The time for reason and wishful thinking is long past .
Any one who obeys these new laws does not deserve any rights .
The soap box has failed, speakers are ignored or marginalized, or like the guy who made the "Mohammad video, jailed .
The ballot box has failed, there were over 70,000 separate complaints of vote fraud during the last election, but since the media is in on it you hear nothing.
That only leaves one other box .
Are you an American citizen, or are you a cowardly piece of property ?

Maybe a little breathing room. I just hope it doesn't make our people complacent.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Senate Republican leader Mitch McConnell says federal spending and the country's debt will dominate the congressional agenda for the next three months, and that debate about potential gun legislation in the wake of the Connecticut school shooting will take a back seat.
The Kentucky lawmaker tells ABC's "This Week" that lawmakers will wait to see what an Obama administration review led by Vice President Joe Biden might propose. McConnell says Congress will need to study any recommendations and then see what's appropriate to do.
But he says that over the coming months, nothing much beyond the country's finances will occupy the attention of Congress.
-
I hope McConnell is correct .
I doubt it, executive orders do not require Congress .
In the OP they are referred to as be a focus of Bidens's group .
They are also the only way for Obama to get around the NRA which was mentioned in an article I posted earlier .
Stock up on ammo, if you're a real American you will need it , if you are a sheeple the real Americans around you will need it.
-
I'll admit to not knowing how Executive Orders work, or how far reaching they actually are, or can be. I know the President cannot by pass Congress and the Senate, create a law, then turn around and enforce it with just executive orders.

To quote one of Clinton's cronies, (I think it was Rahm, not sure though ) "The stroke of a pen and the force of law"
They are basically royal edicts.

You were on the right track, but it was Paul Begala that made that quote:
"Stroke of the pen. Law of the Land. Kinda cool."

They're going to push, and push hard and fast. What really pisses me off is, Why the hell doesn't anyone from our side mention the FACT we had an assault weapons ban for 10 years, AND IT DID NOTHING? I rarely even hear La Pierre mention that fact. Hussein is going to go nuts with Executive Orders involving this. Still, I hear nothing from our side about defending that type of onslaught. They know this whole thing is on borrowed time. If they're going to do anything they're going to do it now. I'm not seeing a viable defense on any of these shows. It's all typical Republican disorganized nonsense. I'm afraid this is going to get real bad, real fast. And as usual the Republicans are not prepared.

The problem is you have to search for common sense like this, on this issue. You shouldn't have to. All that's out there is the communist point of view, along with the MSM who supports every word of it. Everything else you have to dig for. Common sense is in too short of supply on this whole issue. If we don't increase the flow, and fast, we're going to lose. Pushing for armed guards in schools isn't going to win enough points. Too many crying mommies against fighting guns with guns.

They have been playing with this technology for 20 years and the cold facts are that while it may work fine in a lab under controlled conditions it does not work in the real world.

Are you talking about armed guards, or Executive Orders?

Smart guns .
The one that really blows me away is the muzzle loader, I think it was CVA, with the electronic trigger, talk about the cutting edge of obsolete technology . ::)
-
Tom,
How many fingers am I holding up? What day is today? What position were you playing when you hit your head?

They're going to mount an offense with every bleeding heart liberal behind them they can muster up.
-
Smart guns .
I agree that "technology" was dead before it ever got started. It worked about as well as primers that were chemically "timed" to go dead. Neither one ever existed in a reliable form that was ever marketable.
-
Gun manufactures would love 'Smart Gun' technology that worked.
Now, every family member would need their own arsenal.
The potential gun market would double or triple or more.
The banners would never go for that because they aren't about safety but about control.
Anything that would lead to more guns in the hands of the subjects would never be approved.

Are you trying to be funny ?
Make a point ?
Or just show your ignorance ? ???
-
Tom, I was just showing my ignorance as I missed the link.. However, if technology got us into this mess, why can't it get us out? But we gun owners need to think of the technologies to apply, not the anti-gunners. I would rather be on the initiative than hunker down in defense all the time. Never was good at digging foxholes anyway. Apologize for the tweak.
-
Ahh, I see said the blind man.
Best technology would be one that made the anti's unable to write, type or talk .
Lower demand would cause a drop in the price of blood pressure meds.
-

We already possess that technology. It's called duct tape.

I see you are starting to mellow out, Tom. You left out eat and breathe. ;D ;D

You're the one that was talking about small steps toward an ultimate goal.

Nothing wrong with small steps. I'll take every one we can get. That doesn't stop us from pushing for the bigger stuff just as strongly.
