Note:
To make it easier for members and guests to follow gun-related legislation introduced in the 113th Congress, I thought I could post each introduced bill as a separate topic here in 'Politics & RKBA'.  I can also post updates to the topic as the bill's status changes.  Please let me know if you think this will be helpful.  Thanks.

Yes, please.  I followed the link path for awhile but found nothing of use and lost interest.  It appears that this is Texas legislation?

No, this is legislation that has been introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives.  The text of the bill, the sponsor and co-sponsors, and the status (or committee assignment) will probably be the most helpful items as the bills move through the process.

When bills are introduced in the U.S. Senate, which has been reported to begin Jan. 22, I will post them with the appropriate bill number.

http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/query/z?c113:H.R.21:

Extends the Brady background checks to every sale/transfer
Background checks for gun store employees
Requires lost/stolen firearms to be reported to police
National CCW requirements, but a couple "gotchas"

Did you notice the bill's short title... the ‘‘NRA Members’ Gun Safety Act of 2013’’?  Mr. Moran's obvious attempt to be deceptive by implying the NRA membership's involvement and/or approval.  >:(

Ther is a HUGE gotcha clause that will turn every shall issue state into a may issue state.  >:(

‘Sec. 922B. Attorney General’s discretion regarding applicants for firearm permits which would qualify for the exemption provided under section 922(t)(3)

Not good.  Deal killer!

would also have to show "Good Cause" to obtain a CCW as well as show that you can be trusted enough to be issued a CCW... ::)

Also must "show good cause" of why a concealed weapons permit should be issued.

How about, "Because it's my Constitutional right?!?"
