Title: Washington Post/ABC Poll Shows Most Americans Favor Stricter Gun Control Laws
Post by: GeorgeCook on January 15, 2013, 02:54:16 PM
Please take a moment to review the results. If this poll has any validity, we have a very steep hill to climb in changing the opinions of the American people. The results indicate a very misinformed public.

The public is all over the map on this issue.  The answer you get depends on the way the question and how it is worded.  It really doesn't matter in the end.  We can't change the mind of the ignorant.  The media won't allow it to take place.  I'm hearing the NRA is producing national ads but it wouldn't surprise me if station and network executive refuse to run the ads.  Politically we need to pressure the people who have been pro-NRA and Second Amendment and make sure they are have a backbone.

Completely agree with you. I got a somewhat tepid response from Senator Rubio. The gist of his message was, "I'm a strong supporter of the 2A, but I am completely open to any ideas that will prevent tragedies like Newtown from happening again."

I am going to keep reminding him and my other senator that I will not settle for another AWB, magazine capacity limitation, etc.
