Have some trinkets from a 3-D machine made out of white ceramic materials five years ago. The machine reputedly cost over $300K and the supplier indicated that they were developing sintered materials for the same process. I don't know where the technology stands today but for something as intricate as a revolver or semi-auto, additional machining and polishing more than likely would be required. The machines have their uses for modeling, etc. but utility was in question back then.

There are $2,000 hobby machines that should be able to make the mags, but I'm not sure.
I'm also not sure why anyone whould want to download all their files via the Defcad mega pack. ;)

I had heard of those, even had a rep come down and show us what they can do (brought parts no printer :-\), my comment was to be able to do two materials in the same printer, like a mag with metal feed lips.

I would think you could design the process so the lips were installed at a layer. So they could be moulded in. the hard part would be placing them correctly.
