With ammo as scarce and expensive as it is, here is a way to use some of that shooting equipment that has been tucked away in the basement for a few months without depleting those valuable resources...

An oldie, but a goodie. I always love watching that one.
Personally, I've found a cubby set with a 110 conibear works great. It's an effective solution to a persistent problem and it fills my freezer.

we reload the lyman slugs in 20 ga for the boys to use deer hunting, they use a fold crimp so it's hard to tell slugs from shot
#1 son mixed a slug in with #6 used for squirell hunting - nailed a big red in a tall tree - made a hell of a mess ... but grandpa got another tail to make fish flies out of so it wasn't a total loss ...

Need to mark those slugs somehow. Being sure of what is behind your target is a lot different with a slug than with #6.

Someone put some bait on a clay pigeon thrower. When Mr Squirrel went up to feast, the guy pulled the cord and Mr Squirrel discovered the miracle of flight.
I think that's how Rocky and Bullwinkle got their start.

I wish I could have seen the flying squirrel but I guess it's considered animal cruelty.

Animal cruelty, my ass. That's animal hilarity.
And for the record, I've had a squirrel launch itself off a two story roof at me. Launching one off a deck isn't going to harm it one bit.

Re: "How to remove squirrels from your deck"....just remember not to take a shot at them (or a racoon) late at night when they're close to your kid's Cabelas inflatable pool.............ask me how I know :-[
