Title: Freak show headed to Houston?
Post by: santahog on February 02, 2013, 11:06:09 AM
Came across this and thought I should pass it along..  ::)
If so, I hope he gets an appropriate Texas welcome..

http://monderno.com/modern-survival/piers-morgan-is-coming-to-houston/

Yesterday I heard a rumor that Piers Morgan was coming to a Houston area gun shop on Monday, February 4 to host his show. After some research googling, it now looks like it’s true.

Tactical Firearms

According to Piers Morgan’s Twitter account, he will be hosting his show from a Texas “gun store”, and will also be shooting (that should be funny by the way). I have yet to confirm, but rumor has it that the gun store he is referring to is none other than Tactical Firearms in Katy, TX (which is part of the Houston metro area).

You might remember that Tactical Firearms recently made headlines in the 2A community when owner Jeremy Alcede went on a radio show and supported an online ammunition ban, and then quickly reversed his position after the public outcry.

If this is true, here’s why it’s important.

First off, Piers is coming to my hometown. Personally, I want to see if he does in fact travel with an armed entourage. I think there’s a very good chance that he does, which makes him a dirty hypocrite. I’d love to get photos of such.

Second, out of all the gun shops and ranges in the United States, Piers (potentially) has chosen Tactical Firearms, who has in the past sold out on gun control issues. I’m not saying Tactical Firearms will or will not again, but I don’t think anyone can blame me for being nervous about it. And, again if true, it’s highly coincidental that Piers chose this specific gun shop.

If any of you have intel confirming that Piers will indeed be coming to Tactical Firearms in Katy, TX, please leave me a comment below and I’ll update this post. As of now, it should be treated as a rumor.

How about a Gadsen flag and a bucket of tar and feathers?

Tar him, feather him, then wrap his limey ass in a Union Jack and ship him back to jolly old England.

Ted Nugent, the Attorney General, a Texas Senator, Piers Morgan, and a few others will be airing live on CNN at 8pm. Matt Patrick on the 950 will be airing at 2pm I think.

At the Charlotte NRA Convention,. there was a total of 5 protestors laying on the street representing those tragic victims of gun violence.

The over 70,000 that attended quietly stepped over and around them and laughed as they did.

I think TX. Might have a different state of mind towards a media whore prick from jolly ol' England, that deported him already.

They don't want him back, and any gun store that hosts him is a joke.

Katy is how far from Houston?

Well, I watched the show and actually it wasn't that bad.  Morgan, of course, repeated the crap you would expect him to say (e.g. 'Why do you need ...' and 'How fast does it fire ...') but the interviews with Texas AG Abbott and Nugent were good.  The gun store owner made a few questionable remarks (e.g. 'You can't miss with a shotgun ...') but didn't make a total fool of himself.  Morgan fired a couple of rifles and a machine gun and I think he used the word 'exhilarating' to describe his experience.

Nugent made the comment and I totally agree... Morgan and his ilk will just never understand the true nature of the gun debate.  No matter how many times they hear the truth, no matter how it is explained, no matter who is explaining it to them, they simply can not understand.  I've come to believe it's a difference at the DNA level and there's nothing that will change that.  A toaster will never be a blender.  A hammer will never be a saw.  Morgan, and those like him, will never understand why we defend the 2A.

The Ted Nugent clip - pardon the pun

Rock legend Ted Nugent sat down with CNN’s Piers Morgan in a Texas gun shop on Monday to talk, well, guns. Nugent blasted Morgan over his apparent “obsession with guns” and told him to leave responsible American gun owners “the hell alone.”

Morgan began the interview by asking his guest to explain to him, “in the least inflammatory way possible,” why any American needs to own an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle. Morgan had just gotten done shooting an AR-15 at a gun range and said he was surprised by the power it possessed.

After first offering prayers to the Chris Kyle and Littlefield families, Nugent told Morgan to “take it to the bank” that he would never understand the true purpose of firearms.

“You don’t understand that it’s a simple inanimate tool that tens of millions of American families own that have never caused a problem, never had an accident and will never commit a crime,” Nugent said.

Morgan countered by saying 100,000 Americans get hit by gunfire each year.

“Let me stop you there, because I’ve been hearing you say this and you’re so full of crap. Listen to me, that statistic includes bad guys shot by cops and intruders shot by homeowners. So that figure is bogus,” Nugent shot back.

Then Morgan explained that 18,000 people commit suicide using a gun every year in the U.S., to which Nugent quickly replied: “Japan has a higher suicide rate and they aren’t allowed to get downwind of a gun. You’re turn.”

“Do you care about murders?” Nugent pressed. “Or do you only care about about murders with guns?”

“I care about all death,” Morgan replied.

“I don’t think you do. I think you care about guns. I think You’re obsessed with guns,” Nugent said, before going off on a fiery diatribe defending gun owners in America.

“99.99% of the gun owners of America are wonderful people that you are hanging around with here today. Perfectly safe. Perfectly harmless. Wonderful, loving, giving, generous caring people. Would you leave us the hell alone? Go after the nut jobs, go after the murderers, because I don’t know any. We need to lock up the bad guys and when people show dangerous, murderous intent, which everyone one of these mass murderers showed. All their neighbors, their family, their teachers, their fellow students, they all knew they were crazy but, Piers, we didn’t stop them because we’re worried about hurting their feelings. We have a mad man problem in America…”
Completely unmoved by his remarks, Morgan said “I won’t leave you alone because this is a debate that needs to be had.”

Nugent went on to call Morgan the “perfect poster boy” to stand up for the “things that make no sense at all to common sense people.”

Nugent also blasted President Barack Obama’s proposals on gun control, saying he doesn’t agree with the president on any of his gun control plans.

He also said he didn’t agree with universal background checks and argued that more guns equals less violence. He counted off several places with the strictest gun laws and sky high violent crime, including Chicago and Mexico.
