Former Republican presidential contender Ron Paul has just put out a tweet slamming U.S. Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle, author of the New York Times bestseller American Sniper, who was murdered this weekend at a shooting range.

Chris Kyle's death seems to confirm that "he who lives by the sword dies by the sword." Treating PTSD at a firing range doesn't make sense

Two observations:

1. Chris Kyle was an American hero of the highest order. And he used the sword because he was in the military, where his job was to keep America safe.

2. SEALS who served with Kyle said that using the gun range for persons with PTSD made sense. It put them around things with which they were "familiar" and was therefore a "very comfortable" environment.

God bless the family of Chris Kyle.

*There was a slimeball on FB who created a page titled something like "Chris Kyle got What He Deserved"..........

The outcry and subsequent reporting of the page was overwhelming. It was shut down by FB...... and while I am the first person to defend freedom of speech, some of the stuff on there was pretty vile, and bordered on 'hate speech'....... which is why FB probably pulled it. Considering the amount of censorship FB does against several pro-conservative and pro-gun pages, I was glad to see our side win one.

It's one thing to have a problem with the foreign policy of the government under two presidents but it's another to take it to a personal level like this. I am ashamed for the man. This was a terrible thing to say. I can't see him the in the same light after this... :(

Some of the former "Paulbots" now see him for what he is and are just as disgusted by this as any one else .
Our own George Cook was a die hard "Paulbot" to the extreme.
But as his post above indicates he finds this inexcusable.

I'll cut Rand some slack on this, after all, it's his own father .
There is just so far he can go and still be invited to family functions.

The shame of it is, that just when he says something that is spot on in line with what I beleive...he follows it up with something so far out of left field you wonder if this guy is ever from this planet.
