I hate politics and I don't do much but quietly try to convince people around me on important issues, BUT....
Friday 2/8, at nearly 58 years of age I am taking to the streets for the first time in my life. I'm taking a day off work, driving 42 miles to catch a charter bus into Trenton to march on the state capitol in support of our 2nd Amendment rights. It's supposed to rain or snow and it doesn't matter. This is the first time I have thought it important enough and felt threatened enough to excercise my right to peaceful assembly.
I'm proud of my country and I want to keep what makes us american, and I want this class of spineless, valueless political scum to know they will not be safe if they violate my rights as an american.

God bless you, Jay.
Stay warm, and don't catch cold.
And know that we unfortunates who are stuck in warmer climes are with your freezing butt, at least in spirit.

What they said!!

You're doing good, Jay.
I guess it won't be possible to haul your guitar along.
Some 'marching music' might help buoy spirits if the weather is tough.
-
Now they're calling for a foot of snow and/or rain. Won't take a guitar out in that, but I do have some pretty nice rain gear I bought in a shop that sells to commercial fishermen.

Your a good one ! Keep us posted!

Pack hand warmers, and stuff them everywhere. Thank You!!!!!
Take some pic's if you can.
I know a crowd went to Annapolis today. For Gov. O'Malley's asinine proposals.

A thermos of some special Irish coffee will help keep you warm, too.

Trenton NJ, within yards of where Washington crossed the Delaware and killed the Hessians in their sleep.
REALLY nasty weather, but we stayed outside of the statehouse for 4 hours listening to speakers and cheering on - talking to the asshats inside.
Christie didn't make it (of course).

Couldn't count the attendance but we filled the courtyard. Video of the scene below.

tw,
No excuses here as I missed the rally in Annapolis MD, but my Sheriff went and spoke to the legislature albeit late at night. The Dems have the votes, but do they have the smarts? Time will tell. We voters will appeal any anti-gun legislation passed to force a referendum on the next ballot. Goodonya jaybet!

A second mobilization took place yesterday, which I was not able to attend. The state assembly committee was considering 21 bills on gun control, so the 2A community JAMMED the statehouse meeting rooms and spoke as they were able.
Initial reports are that legislators first tried to vote PRIOR to public comment. When shamed into accepting public comment they then did their normal manicure and texting chores during the comments. They then approved all of the bills to move onto the full assembly, then senate, then governor. Christi has yet to reveal his true colors on this, although he HAS repeatedly stated that NJ has enough gun laws.
We'll see. So far our state government needs a good flush.

NJ might have enough bun bans but these are COMMON SENSE laws that everyone agrees with. ::)
ALL government needs a good flush....and for the same reason you flush the crapper. I gave birth to a nice Feinstein yesterday.

Go for it and good luck.
