Good luck with that.
I guess they only need to keep track of the "commercialized" guns because the ones the US military gave to mexico have already been bought up by the drug cartels....along with the person holding it.

Did they ask for names and addresses?
Perhaps working hours of the occupants?
Other times the house might be unattended?
How many gun handlers are in each household?
Estimated total value of the firearms in the house?
Seems like a reasonable request to me.

In fairness, its our drug laws that fuel their crime problem. But why we're arguing about guns, which are a syptom, rather than arguing about prohibition which is the disease is beyond me.

Get a grip, your pissy mood is your problem not FQ's.
He is correct that any American influence in Mexico is a result of our ridiculously failed constitutionally indefensible drug laws , not our Constitutionally guaranteed gun rights.
The difference, that shifts the focus to guns is that not only do the bad guys make billions in illegal profit that would vanish if Narcotics were regulated and taxed but the Mexican Govt also receives billions in cash and military hardware that is supposed to go toward fighting "the war on drugs" which actually disappears into the pockets of Mexico's rulers through graft and black market equipment sales.
In order to keep the money tap open it is imperative to publicly push for what the more generous politicians in the US want.
Do you think it was a coincidence that the Mexican President echoed Pelosi and the Dems "iron river" BS during Holder's "Fast and Furious" propaganda campaign ?
If 2 allegedly unconnected groups sing the same song once, (US gun control) it may be coincidence, If they do it twice it is less likely, and when they both carefully avoid a particular song at the same time (end or change the "war on drugs" )
it starts sounding like collusion.

They may not have the right, but that hasn't stopped them. And the current regime is rolling out the red carpet for them.
