Don't confuse the actions of some junior Republicans with the actions of the party leadership.
Until the Cruz's, and Rand Pauls, and other PRINCIPLED politicians start taking leadership position the party will remain at the mercy of the Coburn's, McCain's, and Rove's who, along with the entire dem party, don't give a crap what you think as long s they get your vote.
