Title: NRA Voters - Joaquin Jackson needs to go
Post by: BBJohnnyT on February 25, 2013, 12:50:21 PM
Even though this interview is from 2007, it's still relevant to expose a man who is stuck in the old "the 2nd Amendment is just for hunting" mentality.  While he may be a fine individual, we certainly don't need a man who thinks like him sitting on the NRA Board.

Anyone have any other recommendations or warnings on the other candidates?  Thanks.

Dang.  Is it time to vote again?  I need to check the mail.

Good info.  Any other "Fudds" to avoid on the ballot?

Just a note on this guy..
I chatted with Jim Wilson about this the day after I got my ballot, and he vouches for the guy. Says he has changed his mind on it.
ILA search turned up two articles from Jackson explaining the comments.
These views aren't what we need on the Board. I'm glad he's changed his mind.
Not sure I want to take the chance, but there's a bit more info on the guy..

I find where he tried to clarify that by "assault weapons" he meant automatic.  However, no where can I find a retraction on the five round opinion.

Even if Jim Wilson vouches for him, why is he in any way one of the small number of people that would be best to run the NRA?  Come to think of it, how about Michael Bane for NRA board? I would much rather see Michael.
