If I lived in Guntersville, I would reckon I'd be be pretty darn "unruly" right about now if those were the "rules" being proposed. Although I'd be civic minded about. I'd contribute two free 1x6 boards and a bucket of warm tar and some free feather pillows at that meeting. Folks would be encouraged to bring their own pitchforks.

A proposed city ordinance in Guntersville, Alabama would allow police officers to disarm citizens during times of crisis if they deem it necessary.
Part of a larger disaster response bill, Mayor Leigh Dollar is standing by the proposal and seemingly tried to downplay it to WAAY-TV.
“By no means is it our intent to disarm, or seize anyone’s firearms,” she assured with a smile and a southern drawl. “This is in there to protect public workers and any volunteers helping should someone become unruly, which can happen because emotions are high…”
“It’s only to protect people,” she added.

Posting an old Neal Boortz quote from his radio show. He was railing on the Gov't/ Public Education indoctrination programs and caught a story from Alabama that was flagrant in its Liberal/Progressive agenda, (just like the burkha story out of TX),

NO, LA and the LEO's actions in Katrina should have taught them and us an important message.
"Crisis" can mean anything...including bad weather.

And "unruly" can mean anything from refusing to evacuate to "don't like how you look".
