now I want it. it was a x frame smith in .223. yeah I know it would not work, but I want it too damn it.

It could work. I saw an article somewhere that mentioned it when they were first introduced. It said the cylinder is the right length and that it could be possible theoretically. Feasible and worth the effort is a whole other question.

A bottleneck rimmed cartridge would be easier for a revo to work with.

i was woking at a ffl and played with a few 500 protypes and spoke with reps and engineers. they tried several things to make it work, to much backward presure, it would lock up the cylinder. I still want it damn it.

Taurus made a .223 Raging Bull. At least a prototype for a shot show. I'm not sure if it was a production model but it was in their catalog. Magnum Research makes a .30/30. If that works a .223 should work too.
