FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- Investigators say two men who attempted to invade a home early Friday ended up dead after a gun battle with the homeowner.

It happened in the 7500 block of Levi Road at approximately 3:37 a.m.

After the exchange of gunfire, both robbers left the home.

Some idiot actually posted this :

There was absolutely no reason for these two men to die. Anything the homeowner had in his home was not worth two human lives. These men could have been brought to justice, and any stolen property would most likely have been returned. This is the problem with so many guns in peoples homes. People die over the value of some personal belongings, under the guise of home protection. Is any human life worth a $300 television?

Rule number one if you decide to break into someones home in a military town, it would be in your best interest to stay home! Bullets fix stupid!  ;D

I  agree, there was no reason for them to die.  Then again there was no reason to break in.   I have always said, take what ever you want from the house, hell take a jack hammer to the foundation and a sawzall to the walls and roof and drag the front half of the house away.  Come down the hallway and you will be shot.

Too bad Jason didn't give his street address, I am sure someone would be happy to help him practice his charity.

What Jason forgets here is it wasn't the $300 television at stake, but human dignity, freedom and the right to live in peace.

Or the naive belief they'd stop at the TV and not rape his/boy friend 9more likely) and then cap the witnesses. Seriously, whats in my house that's worth two human lives? Me, you dumb FRACK!

Lemme see heah...

Cost of apprehension, plus the cost of incarceration, plus the cost of adjudication, plus the cost of additional incarceration, plus all the welfare costs when they finally get out--gotta be thousands upon thousands of dollars...

Versus the  cost of ammo, and let's assume the homeowner used a whole box, plus the cost of two paupers graves...

I'd say the state and the taxpayers got a helluva deal.

More armed homeowners with a similar attitude and ability, and we could severely limit that particular occupational choice for the bad guys.

Ah'm jus sayin'
