You might be asking the question why? The answer to the question 9 or 45 is 10mm and I don't know how many Velociraptors live in PA but I don't want to be caught off guard.
My 17 now has a family member residing in the stable...

So how do I explain this expenditure to the other one?
-
$650 at the LGS. ;D
-
Jurassic Park is out in theatres in 3D. Treat them to a movie night. Then say "Its for the children". ;D
-
Don't you need a 357Sig to go with that?
-
Just tell her it's all you could find ammo for.....
-
I don't need anything, but damn it to hell I do want a .357 siggy.
I honestly bought the 20 because I can find 10mm everywhere, albeit at an increased cost but at least I can buy it. The 9mm I have seen rivals the cost of .338 Lapua so I might as well indulge my endless need for the big boomers. I picked up some Ted Nuget 180gr Speer Gold Dots. It comes in at 500lbs of energy...
at 100 yards :o

Good lord! How much for fifty? Or does it come in twenty round boxes?
-
I think the 10mm barks a little to hard and the ensuing recoil is worse than from a .45.
So, why not go for a .40S&W?
Or should that be, why not ALSO go for a .40S&W?
You don't NEED to cover the spectrum, but it would be cool if you did.

Comes in 20 round boxes and Cabelas had them for $19.99. For the Record I paid $610 out the door for my new 20 and I can get conversion barrels to shoot 40 and 357 siggy. Think I'll be sticking with the 10mm, its just so sexy.
-
That's not too bad. Thanks for telling me. Bastard! ;D

10 MM brings semi auto pistols into the handgun hunting fold like .357 Mag did for revolvers.

And with the interchangeable barrels to be able shoot .40 out of the thing, you have cheaper and more HD appropriate caliber to shoot as well. Plus, a Glock is a whole lot cheaper than a DE. If I were five years younger or a little richer, I'd be looking hard at the news about interchangeable barrels. But I won't. Really, I won't. :P

S&W=Short and Weak. All with a nasty little recoil impulse. ;D
I've owned two. Both H&K USPs one was a compact. Don't think I'll ever own another H&K but I may do the 40 in a STI for USPSA Limited or Open.

Try a G29 10mm. I daily carry one now and its not bad in the recoil department.

Just remember, It's easier to beg for forgiveness than to ask for permission.

And with a 20 you can shoot in the GSSF Heavy Metal division.
So you're set for Amateur, Heavy Metal, Competitive, Unlimited and Master Stock. Only need to add a Sub Compact for the remaining two divisions.
