Congrats!  You will love it.

Mine is a daily companion, and has developed a nice patina that some call poor care.  I call it love spots  ;)

Get yourself a nice leather pocket holster with square corners and a print pad, and carry in your hip pocket like a wallet.

The next to the bottom row is edition one.  At my request they changed the design, and the corner below the trigger guard is now square.  With the round corner the gun would rotate in the back pocket of dress pants, but with the square it stays upright.

Hey M- Dumb question probably but do you carry 6+1 or do you just do 5+1?

PS. I went total game boy and got a Desantis Nemesis

I carry six + 1

I always top off my magazine after loading.  Joke around these parts is that if you can't find ammunition I probably am carrying an entire box ... or two  ;D

Forgot to mention that mine has never failed in practice with either MagTechs or Fiocchi, and I carry with Hornady Critical Defense which has also never failed.

with an unloaded pistol, check the pin behind the trigger and make sure it has not slipped down... lock it in place with a drop of two part expoxy... P3AT owners too...

Which pin? The hammer catch pin, hammer pivot pin or the rear frame insert pin?
All the pins seem to have horizontal orientation - how do they slip down?

(carry 6+1 here, Hornady XTP)

on edit: Ksail, blaming it on Bane didn't work for me on a different handgun... :P

Welcome to the club, Kasil.  I owned the Taurus for awhile, but dumped it for the LCP. With me most of the time when I'm out.

My Kel Tec is on me if I'm awake, and within reach when I'm not.

I carry mine a lot also!  My spare mag is carried in a nylon knife sheath just behind my cell phone case.  No one gives it even a first glance let alone a second!

Did your guys LCP come with one mag in the box or two. I only got one. With a little grip extender and optional flat Baseplate. I thought it was odd only getting one. I thought it came with two.

This shop I went to I went to only cause after calling around they were the only one with 2 in stock no where else around me had one at all. And when I asked my favorite place if they could special order me one they told me they temp suspended special orders do to length of wait times and unknowing how long it would be before one came from the factory.

And one more newbie question and Im done I promise. I have never owned a small firearm like this. All of mine have been the typical fighting guns Glock19, 1911 ect ect. Is the break in period still at around 200 rounds on such a little gun.

I got 2 mags with mine and a holster.

My experience has been it's like 'breaking in' a Glock -  shoot it.
Then shoot it until you're comfortable it goes bang bang with your fave load and call it good.

I got one of these for mine...much better fit and takes some of the bite out.

I got two and a soft case, but it was clear in the paperwork that the second magazine and the soft case were a promotion.

KMitch... the Ruger part is 14, the KelTec 253 ... the Ruger may have a shoulder that prevents it from slipping down, I have not checked mine and the exploded diagram I looked at looks like there a shoulder to it, my KelTec has just a pin... it connects the plastic trigger to the axis pivot that operates the trigger bar... if it slips down, the axis does not rotate far enough to release the sear, before the trigger bottoms on the frame...

Kmitch... I actually looked at my LCP and it does have the shouldered head on the pin preventing it from slipping... I also have an earlier P3AT that slipped... sorry for worrying any LCP owners... if you have an early P3AT check it out.... be sure to unload first
