Awesome, I read somewhere that he was really sick that day of filming and improvised thEt whole thing and the stunt guy went along with it!
-
Yep, it was supposed to be a sword-vs-whip battle but Harrison was sick and said "Why don't I just shoot him?" and then went along with it. I read it in an old Star Wars magazine..... yes I had a subscription and yes I'm a dork.

Brilliant!
"Hokey religions and ancient weapons are no match for a good blaster revolver at your side, kid."

When I read the title of the topic, that is the first thing I thought of even before I watched it.
Brilliant minds , or those of the mentally challenged, think alike.

Thanx Jerry, I always wondered...I feel better now ???

The 2:45 starting at 1:10 of this clip starting from the movie Snatch is one of my favorite gun scenes. Note: this clip is NOT SAFE FOR WORK.

Since we have stated the movie clip onslaught here's a good gun movie clip without any guns and not very PC. Sorry ladies, its just a movie.
Opening scene to Way of the Gun

The Good the Bad and the Ugly was a great clip, but a bit bittersweet. My uncle died on June 5. He was the unconfirmed child of James Dean and Clint Eastwood. At least that is how I felt. Some of my first shooting experiences were with him. He was one of the last of a dying breed. His ashes sit in a little wooden Winchester box and he rode his Harley to chemotherapy. Tougher than chewed up nails with huge heart. He will be missed.

Nobody twirled a Winchester, like Rooster Cogburn! I've tried, its hard standing still, let alone on a horse. :-\

The Rifleman.
-
HAZ took the words right out of my mouth! Yes all that are mentioned are excellent movies but let not forget the 21 foot rule.
-
One of the things I liked about the Rifleman was how they handled the aspect of the 'gun'.
I can think of two shows that ponted out the way WE (2A supporters) look at guns.
One was where a prissy male teacher got his panties in a wad when Lucas dropped Mark off at scholl with the gun in the wagon. Teacher said "Don't bring that killing machine near school'. Of course it ended where Lucas saved his sorry a$$ with that killing machine.
Another was when Mark got afraid of the rifle (can't remember why) but had to overcome his fear of it to toss it to his Dad.
Good lessons on mind set and reality.

The old shows were like that. They had morales AND morals.

Yep. I can honestly remember Lucas saying that guns were just tools, it was how they were used and who used them, not the gun.
Such a simple lesson that so many refuse to understand. (notice I said 'refuse' not 'can't')
-
Not just refuse but absolutly refuse.
