8) Hodgdon Titegroup is getting hard to find in my area, Central Missouri.
Does anyone have a suggestion for a substitute powder for .45 acp?
My local area shops have other propellants on the shelf but I am not sure what to look for?
I am blessed with bullets and primers since I live about 30 minutes from MidwayUSA.
Thanks!

i like 231

I use WST. It's a flake powder, not spherical. Still meters well through my measure.
Haven't gotten to my Clays jug yet.

I was going to standardize on HS7 but they discontinued it. Thought about going to HS6, but decided on Power Pistol for most pistol loads. Only ones I don't use it with are full power loads in.357 & .44 mag.

for .45 and 12ga. I used Clays .... before that, WST was the choice, which I consider the modern " Unique".....

I have a pound of 231 I need to work up some rounds with but I saw a 4lb jug of clays at the club so I may go that route as well. I have been using Bullseye with good results (hit some 20 yard A's Saturday with no problem).
BTW Les I finally started watching my sights and only had 3 Mikes for the match and beat some guys I thought it'd be another year before that happened, all but 2 of the B class Limited shooters and one C Class Sandbagger. ;D

I've been using Alliant Bullseye for 45 and it makes a nice round.

I have used universal clays as well, I have been using Accurate AA5 with alot of success, meters very well, shoots well, with
200 grain bullets in 45. Can't double charge without spilling powder.

8) Thanks for all the suggestions!
I will go shopping and see what is available locally.

Always used Accurate #5 for .45 ACP.
Have been thinking of trying Clays because it is easier to find in my area since the insanity started.

+1 on the AA 5
I use it for 45 and 9 with good results. It fills slightly less than 1/2 the case so a double charge is obvious.
