Nice vid!!!

Been flying our Nations Flag in my front yard for years and years. Sadly, there are so many folks who don't see what it truly represents like we do.

But I will darn sure keep flying mine, donate the old worn one's to the Boy Scouts for proper disposal, (very solemn and reverent ceremony BTW). and get a new one.

Pretty much like Tw, been flying it for yrs., My dad flew the flag that draped his brothers coffin when his body came home from Saipan. I fly a smaller USMC below Ol'Glory for my son in the Corps.

The American Legion also has a flag retirement program.   http://www.legion.org/flag/ceremony

I was married for a few years to a woman who had a little girl, 1 1/2 years old when we were married.

Lauren, the little girl, helped me put up the flag each morning and take it down each night.

We waved good by to the flag when we left for work and school and said Hi to it when we got home.

She was in a Montessori program and one of the reports the teacher gave us was that each day, two kids were on Flag Duty...they put up the flag at the start of the school day and took it down at the end.  The teacher said that Lauren insisted on helping every day....she did not do anything but stand by the flag with her hand on her heart on the days it was not her job to handle it.

I might have made a mistake making the flag so important to her....she married a Marine..God help her!    ;D
