“These numbers reflect the unprecedented surge in permit demand since the Sandy Hook [school shooting] incident and are reflective of the panic buying that took place at the time,” said Anoka County Sheriff’s Commander Paul Sommer. “The numbers are slowing down, but we are still seeing about double the number of requests each month that we saw in 2012.”

Its easy to answer a poll. But going through the trouble and expense to get the permit shows that someone is serious. I like those numbers.

I hadn't seen this article, and will need to read it when we get back from our bike ride.  However, let me go out on a limb and project what it is:

Due to the emotional response to politics and violence in the nation, Minnesotans are getting their permits at higher numbers, and the metro area is leading the way.

Am I close?

This has become an annual story with the anti's projecting blood flowing in the streets and the end of civilization as we know it.  Oh No!  The wild wild west has returned to Minnesota, and the days of the Northfield Raid are just around the corner again!

What's their problem with the Northfield Raid ?
The towns money was protected because the citizens possessed the means to shoot the crap out of the robbers .
With (then ) modern firearms .
What can be wrong with that ?
Oh yeah, it underlines the flaws in the anti's BS .   ;D
