Title: Personal Defence TV?
Post by: texcaliber on April 10, 2007, 08:58:21 PM
Just got off the phone with my brother and he said "grunt GRUNT no Personal Dfence TV again!" so after looking ahead on my satalite guide it had some type of dog show on in the PDTV time slot. I could think of no better place to get some real opinion/information.
I really do love throwing real info at the "grunt machine". He like myself are newbies to the net but unlike him i have found DRTV ;D
Maybe i will let him in for an Xmas gift.

I jump them about this last week as soon as I saw it wasn't on. After going to Outdooor channel's site I saw that they didn't even list it anymore. I to received an email saying the same thing that they would be back. I love that show rite after SG.

Mas Ayboob knowing his stuff

I can not help thinking of the great video this site has on threat assessment. Mas needs to give his back/hips a break and look into his personal "threat assessment". There is no way i would stow that much gear for daily life, never mind some of the triple and quad backups. I already walk w/ a cane so i do not need to be anymore off balance . I am just saying.

Actually he had a segment on Personal Defense TV where he showed how one could defended themselves with a cane.  He was demonstrating how Rex Applegate, then in his 80s, defended himself against two thugs who attempted to mug him.  One shot to the head and groin for each of them was all it took for him to be back on his merry way.  Rex Applegate taught self defense and wrote books during WWII for the army on how to kill your opponent.  Guess they picked the wrong guy with a cane.

By the way, Tom Gresham mentioned on his weekly radio show, "Guntalk", that the new season of Personal Defense TV will begin airing in October.

Tom's a good friend of mine, and PDTV will be back.

I've learned a lot from Mas over the years (too many years!) we've hung out. Ultimately, we all evolve our own personal philosophies of protection and self-defense. A lot of my personal philosophy comes from my long exposure to hi-risk sports, whihc profoundly changed the way I look at self-defense training.

I do not think i am the only member who would like to know more about the changing or the changes of your training Mr. Bane . Maybe just maybe let us in on some of your "personal philosophies" and the why behind them .

I check into it and I could buy the outdoor channel but you guys need to tell me why I should.

I am not a hunter or a fisherman I am very interested in Personal Protection, Self Defense and the protection of my loved ones!

I only have two guns and only plan on buying one more (and winning one more really nice one).

I own a Kimber Ultra CDP for condealed carry and a Remington Defender Shootgun. I plan on buying an AR-15 before Bush is out of office.

So will the Outdoor Channel have enough to offer me to spend the $12 a month to get it?

As for the ala cart cable cost for TOC, you have just encountered the key difference between the (crappy) cable industry and (not quite as crappy) satellite TV. Not that Dish/Direct don't have their own problems, but price gouging doesn't seem to be one of them.
