Title: Black Panther Arrested
Post by: Jrlobo on June 26, 2013, 08:06:34 AM
Is it against the law in New York City to wear body armor? Because that is what led to the search and seizure of Bobby Shabazz.

I see nothing where it says wearing body armor in NYC is illegal....just that it gets attention.

it does not matter what he is wearing, when you have racist tattoo on your face, it tends to attract attention.

In the other thread it said he had a .25 pistol and this one says it was a 5-shot revolver. In one article it calls him King Salim Shabazz and the other calls him King Samir Shabazz. They're talking about the same guy aren't they?

The article made me look up the law here in MD. It is illegal for a felon convicted of a gun or drug crime to wear body armor unless he has a permit to do so granted by virtue of his work or other special condition. It is not illegal here for regular citizens to purchase and wear body armor otherwise. So, here in MD, if you are a clean citizen, wearing body armor probably is not sufficient to justify a pat down. I sure hope that any conviction on the illegal gun possession by King Shabazz is not prevented due to unreasonable search and seizure! That dude needs to be off the street period.

If the Attorney General will let him walk on voter intimidation because he doesn't "want to make my people look bad" (Holder's exact words) he will walk on this as well .
The cop may get fired or audited by IRS , but the racist thug has nothing to worry about.
