I'm not a conspiracy enthusiast, but I've seen this story on a BUNCH of news sites for two days now from Fox, MSSNBC, Russia Today and infowars, among others. (then it suddenly disappeared from ALL credible info today).
Submitted without anymore comment!

Wow, indeed. I am at a loss for words. If this is true, there is no turning back, no compromise, no surrender.

A couple of thoughts on this .
First, if the people allow it they deserve it .
Second, agreements between the US and other nations are, under the Constitution, regulated by Congress, if they allow this and are not executed for treason the people who don't act deserve it .
w.usconstitution.net/xconst_A1Sec8.html
Article 1 - The Legislative Branch
Section 8 - Powers of Congress
To regulate Commerce with foreign Nations, and among the several States, and with the Indian Tribes;
My third thought was that "Janet from another Planet" is a fu*king idiot who is probably not aware of the Constitution, or of the huge logistical complications of such an asinine idea such as,
Russian troops will be unlikely to speak English
Russian troops would need to be retrained on unfamiliar weapons
Russian communications gear will not be compatible with any of the agencies they are supposedly working with
Therefore they will need to be completely retrained on unfamiliar commo gear
The Whitehouse had to cancel White house tours due to lack of funding who does she think will pay to transport these troops ?
These are just off the top of my head, I'm sure there are other details that make this an even dumber idea, for example, even if the Russians do speak English that will be of only limited value with regional dialects .

Might I suggest an addition to their standard uniform...

I agree completely, but the fact that it's even happening is what scares me! This asshat thinks he can railroad us and we won't pull an Egypt on him, he's deadly wrong!

I read about the same thing. Ted Poe, who is my Congressman (2nd District in Texas and one of the good guys) was on the radio the other morning and was asked about this. His reply was that this was an exchange of best practices between countries similar to what has been done for many years. There would be no foreign troops taking part in anything real, only an exchange of information and training.
He has really been one of the good guys and i would trust him on this right now.

That seems more logical .
Look at what happened in the Civil War, Grant had 250,000 or so troops defending a portion of the same area and both Mosby and Early penetrated his defenses.
Not to mention the years of campaigning that was required to secure the Shenandoah Valley.

Deep breaths folks. We have one thing in common with Russia. We both have issues with muslims. This is simply sharing training and personnel to deal with a common enemy. Remember Boston? A little closer cooperation with the Russians might have been prudent. There is no reason to stand out in the yard and scream wolverines (unless you just want too). Russia couldn't conquer Chechnya which is like six blocks away, do you seriously think Russian troops are a threat here?

Never said it was, Quackie. The fact that they'll do it doesn't get me, the fact that they CAN irks the F**K outta me. This bastage thinks he can slip things past us and we're so asleep that we won't see it is just Orwellian. When the SHTF I'm gonna be relieved that I looked at BOTH sides of the fence! I've been here since the inception of this place and have been poo-pooed for such posts, but thats ok. I take them all with a grain of salt. I believe this POTUS has OVERSTEPPED his bounds on more occaisions than I've had birthdays! I hope the revo will happen sooner than later. We should follow Egypt and givemhell!
OBummer seems to be runnin' scared that he'll have to deal with us, too! I'll post more links later if ya like.

From Bic's link :
"... the Infowars article was an alarmist, far fetched, interpretation of the original announcement"
A few thoughts on this, the above is what I have come to expect from that group of sites, Infowars, Prisonplanet, Lewrockwell et al.
However, I have found Snopes is not much better in regards to using the smallest detail to refute a story that is actually true, there have been a couple of stories about Obama that can be verified by YouTube video that Snopes has said were untrue based on irrelevant details .
With the above in mind I leave this in the "neither confirmed nor denied" category.
One question the Snopes denial raises is , if "mine rescue" is one of the topics Why is the Russian Ministry of Natural resources not mentioned, or our own Mine Safety orgs ?
