California Rep. Creates Legislation To Ban “All Guns That Can Be Fired By A Five Year Old”
Often, the most outspoken advocates of gun control have no clue how guns actually work.
This is definitely true of Rep. Jackie Speier, who recently said she will pursue legislation that would make it illegal to buy or sell a gun that can be fired by a five year old child.
So, I guess that means she wants to flat-out ban all guns that can be fired in a single action?
Wow.
The event that gave Speier the idea was when a five year old girl accidentally killed herself with a .38 caliber revolver (a double action only gun with a long trigger pull).
So, then, I guess any and all guns should be banned according to the congresswoman.
Gun control advocates continue to use emotional appeals to push new gun control legislation. Emotion must be put aside to objectively assess the effectiveness of strict gun laws. The data overwhelmingly demonstrates that stricter gun control does not yield lower crime.

Its like abortion Peg. The anti's don't want "reasonable restrictions" they want a ban, and they won't stop till they get one. They will offer an endless series of new hoops to jump through till the right is gone, each time saying its just a small. change. Roe v Wade was ruled on 41 years ago and the war continues. Don't think it will be any different with Heller. These people will never stop. And we can never sleep as if we do they will win. It sucks, but its the truth.
