Title: Anti-gun housing complex decision reversed - In Colorado
Post by: Solus on August 08, 2013, 08:34:15 AM
From the story:

According to a report by 9News.com, Art Dorsch, age 77, a Marine Corps veteran, has been issued an ultimatum by his apartment complex, Oakwood Apartments managed by Ross Management Company in Castle Rock, CO.

Voluntarily get rid of all of your weapons, or leave in the next 60 days.

Dorsch says he lives on a fixed income and simply cannot afford to move right now.

But, this decision was overruled...and I can't help but be encouraged by and admire the leadership of the company that did it.

“These community policy changes were distributed without the knowledge or authorization of the Board of Directors of the Douglas County Housing Partnership or its staff,” a Douglas County Housing Partnership release said. “This board does not support any action that infringes on an individual’s rights and will not allow Ross Management to implement these changes. The mission of the Douglas County Housing partnership is to preserve and develop safe, secure, quality housing while providing housing choices for those who have few,”

The precedent has already been set in San Fransisco and Chitcago that even public housing can not ban legal weapons
