Title: TWO CHARGED WITH LANE MURDER IN OKLAHOMA
Post by: sledgemeister on August 21, 2013, 01:48:48 AM
This story is making major news over here in oz, with some crackpot anti gun pollies calling on Australians to boycott the US in order to 'convince them to change there gun laws".
There is a video at the link where it shows the families of the accused carrying on and the pregnant girlfriend (there is a surprise) threatening to kill the media and the father of one of the black kids saying he was innocent.
Just waiting to see Jackson or Obumma on TV saying it was some how the crackers fault.

James Edwards, 15, and Chancey Luna, 16, were charged with first degree murder and face life in prison if convicted.

Michael Jones, 17, was charged with using a vehicle to facilitate the discharge of a weapon and accessory after the fact of murder in the first degree.

One of the accused allegedly danced as he was charged over the murder.

The arraignment took place at the Stephens County Courthouse in Duncan, Oklahoma on Tuesday.

The alleged random drive-by shooting has shocked locals.

Mr Lane, 22, who had a scholarship at an Oklahoma college to play baseball and major in finance, was jogging on a Duncan street on Friday.

Police allege the accused killers - aged 15, 16 and 17 - followed Mr Lane in a car, shot him in the back and sped off in a random drive-by, before heading to another house with plans to kill again.

One of the teenagers is believed to have written on Facebook: "Bang. Two drops in two hours."

The youths were arrested before they got to their intended second target.

Danny Ford, the chief of Oklahoma's Duncan Police Department, said there would have been more deaths if police hadn't caught them so quickly in a town that hasn't had a murder in five years.

"They wanted to be Billy Bob Badasses," Chief Ford told AAP.

"I think they were on a killing spree.

"I know everybody thinks there has to be a reason, but I've been in this business for 30 years and there doesn't have to be a reason with these kids."
Edwards and Luna were refused bail.

Bail for Jones was set at $US1 million.

Mr Lane and his girlfriend of four years had only been back in the US for three days after visiting his family in Melbourne.

She paid tribute to him on Facebook, posting photos of their recent trip to Australia.

"This last adventure together I'll always cherish," Ms Harper wrote.

"The past 4 years have been the most amazing years of my life."

His parents and former teammates in Melbourne remembered a man who was motivated, happy and making plans for the future.

"He was just a kid on the cusp of making his life," his father said.

I thought Oklahoma had the death penalty for first degree murder? So why are they saying life imprisonment I assume some deal was made? Shame, all three should swing. I will even send Obumma a check to buy some rope. The stretchy stuff so when dropped their feet just touch on tippy toes.

At another site it said they committed the murder just because they were bored. There's no hope for this new generation.

A couple of wanna-be gangsta thugs kill a random kid - so sad, yet even THOSE circumstances are being used by the opporunists to go after gun control. Gun control doesn't work. Criminal control and nut-job control does work.

What should they be changed to?  Seems the gun laws didn't work at all in this case....I know, shocker. So lets pass some more!!

Makes perfect sense.

That would be change our Constitution, and that horse ain't gonna run  >:(

To anybody who wants to restrict our Constitutional protections, you can go through the proper channel of amending the Constitution.  However, I doubt you will get it done regardless of your emotional pleas or threat of economic boycott.

The SCOTUS has ruled that Juveniles can't be sentenced to death, or life with out parole .

You are about 89 years behind the times Frank .

TAB, that might just be the most sense you have ever made!

We don't try to rehabilitate rabid dogs.

Can't be done.

It's always fatal.

As it should be fatal for this kind of subhuman crap, too.

In a hat-tip to Zimmerman-ism, have you noticed that they're doing everything they can to call the kid on the right "white"?
Has anybody asked the kid what color he is? No.. It doesn't matter, does it?! No..
Gotta love what Jesse was finally forced to say about it..
He said that that kind of thing is "frowned upon"..
Well, do tell!!

(+1 for dealing with rabid dogs..)
We really are in "Condition 1", around here at least.. Nothing has broken out en mass, but I've gotten so many "looks", like my mere presence is some sort of indignation as I pass by, even in a car!!.. Not everybody, but the young, uneducated ones to be sure..

Send them to a 1/2 way house in an expensive liberal neighborhood somewhere....in a state like New York, New Jersey, California, Illinois or wherever liberals abound.

In fact...send all the murderers to expensive liberal neighborhoods for rehabilitation and put a tracker on their leg to help keep them inside those confines.

Sweet.

Editor’s note: This story contains extremely graphic language and content that will be offensive to some readers.

The Twitter account believed to belong to 15-year-old James Edwards, one of the three teens charged in the murder of Australian student Chris Lane, is filled with graphic and shocking language about killing, smoking and even hating white people.

Edwards and Chancey Luna, 16, have been charged with first degree murder in the case. They each face life in prison and are being held without bond in Duncan, Okla. Micheal Jones, 17, has been charged with using a vehicle to facilitate the discharge of a weapon and accessory after the fact of murder in the first degree.
In one outrageous tweet, Edwards writes: “90% of white ppl are nasty. #HATE THEM.”

In another, he claims he “knocked out 5 woods since Zimmerman court.” The word “woods” is also a derogatory term used to describe white people.

TheBlaze has compiled a  list of the Edwards’s most hateful and inflammatory Twitter posts, some of which are reportedly lyrics from rap songs (WARNING! Very graphic content):

The Significant Detail District Attorney Claims Media Misreported in Story of Murdered Australian Student Chris Lane

The district attorney in Stephens County, Okla., says a very significant detail in the story of murdered Australian student Chris Lane has been misreported by a number of media outlets, including the Associated Press, CBS News and the Daily Mail. TheBlaze also reported the quote using Associated Press information.

Various media sources quoted 17-year-old suspect Michael Jones as saying, “I pulled the trigger” during his bail hearing on Tuesday. But Duncan Banner reporter Mike Smith reported the quote as “I didn’t pull the trigger.” Obviously, the two statements are only slightly different, but mean drastically different things.

Jones has been charged with using a vehicle to facilitate the discharge of a weapon and accessory after the fact of murder in the first degree. His accomplices, James Edwards, 15, and Chancy Luna, 16, have both been charged with first degree murder.
Smith reportedly told Mediaite the the quote he used was accurate, insinuating that the mainstream media got the story wrong. He said he was “standing right there” and District Attorney Jason Hicks was “even closer.”

Hicks also told the website that Smith’s account was correct and Jones did in fact say “I didn’t pull the trigger” at his bail hearing.

“I was standing right next to him, Mike Smith was standing right next to him, a whole bunch of deputies heard him,” he said. ‘The judge stopped him and told him ‘You’re here [to] set a bond, and that’s it.”

The district attorney said he would have “immediately stopped the proceeding” and “filed a murder one charge” if Jones really said he pulled the trigger.

Responding to reports of racist tweets found on the suspects’ social media pages, Hicks said there is no evidence to indicate that Chris Lane was murdered because he was white.

“I don’t see anything there,” he said, later adding, “Our focus is on making sure that we get justice for Christopher Lane.”

The Daily Mail’s Rachel Quigley told Mediaite that she took the seemingly erroneous quote from the AP version of the story. However, CBS News’ Iris Carreras seemingly doubled down, saying the “right quote is ‘I pulled the trigger.’”
