Went to Wal-mart early this evening.
Rack full of ARs priced from $595 to $1,500.
They had .45, UMC 250 packs for $95 & tax!! (That's what it was before insanity overshadowed the place!!)
It's not "over" here, till I can get CCI 22 LR, 36 GR., but it's better!!

The Walmart by me had one, 100 round Value Pack of Federal 9 MM 115 gr. FMJ for $21.95. A guy was buying it before I got there. The fact they had ANY was a good sign. I haven't seen 9 MM Federal at Walmart since last November.

Less then a hundred for 250 45s is a good deal it can cost you almost that to load if you buy new cases.

Went in our local wally-mart for motor oil (oil and ammo are the only two things I usually walk in there for because I can park in the back and go through the tire center, which is a shorter walk), and figured I'd check the ammo shelves.
They had about ten boxes of 100 round bulk Federal .223 for $40.97 per (what it was last year before the melt-down). They had three different brands of .45 ACP, all priced at around $20-$22 per 50 (also about where it was in Nov of last year). There was some hunting ammo, but no 9mm or .22lr at all. The clerk said when the get .22's in, they put out half in the morning and half that evening, trying to offer to a range of folks, but there are a couple of guys who are there regularly to snatch it up at both times.
After spending $50 on oil, I only had the spare funds to snag a single $40 bulk pack of the .223, but she said they have been getting and keeping it pretty regularly....... So, I guess I can check more often and just get a box here and there (which is what I did before the madness anyway).
