I don't think 1 1/4 oz, #6 shot is going to knock down too many drones.

It is what is called a joke brother!

It'll work for the small dove like drones that are flying low ::) I have been trying to get a Drone license from Deer Trail but for some reason the guys web sight is down ??? Guess they are going to vote on it here in the next week - basically it's just a fund raiser for the town since they only have approx. 500 folks there and the towns in disrepair.

Hi;
I know that there was a town (out west ) that was about to pass ( last month ? ) an ordinance authorizing the shooting down of any drone that flew over their air space as a protest of the Govt policy.
Does anyone know if they did pass it or was it laughed off the agenda ?

The FAA declared shooting at, or interfering with a drone is no different than doing the same to any other registered aircraft. The F in FAA is for Federal. So no matter what that town or state says, you still go to Federal prison. And being that the F has tens of millions of your hard earned dollars invested in each camera laden drone. I'm guessing the first person to shoot at one is going to end up a pretty unpleasant "example" (cleaning bed pans in Guantanamo Bay with their shirt).
I can still easily see where there's going to be people posing next to their kills on Youtube (Last picture they'll ever be in besides a mug shot).

Talk about cameras, be they on a drone or a sight on a tank or whatever..
I think a can of paint or 3X Expanding Foam as a projectile has been overlooked as ammunition for things of this nature.. ;D

Use what the military uses.
Rubberized smoke, it's shredded rubber lit on fire, burning rubber and plastic give off heated particles with the smoke that block lasers and thermal devices.

If one lands on your street, can you keep it like the Iranians did?
-
If you tag it . ;D

Sounds like a good modern day battlefield smoke grenade. Sure wouldn't want the wind to change direction around it though.
I was thinking more along the lines of opfor having to withdraw the asset, blinding it to the point that it's crippled on the field to allow it to be taken/destroyed, or not readily deployed in the first place..
I've shot that stuff on porous (and/or painted) material that I hadn't intended it to touch before, and it requires attention to remove.
I'm thinking "low tech" will play a role in combating "high tech aggression".
