i mean really, waiting several days inline to buy a phone? Don't people have anything better to do? You know like work. Really, I don't get it.

It 's the reason this country is broke. People as well as government. It's become far too easy to separate people from their money......Borrowed money that is. Most likely 85% of these things are sold on a credit card, and will be obsolete by the time they're paid off.

Theory #1: It's because for these people their lives are so meaningless that being the first to have some new toy is what gives them a purpose. Their god is materialism and they belong to the church of Apple.
Theory #2: Apple is paying these people to make it look like this new phone is so awesome people are camping out to get one so you better hurry up and get one before it's too late. Sadly, it's probably #1 that's the more likely scenario.

There is nothing wrong with barrowing money if you do it smartly. Often times there are beenies to buy X with Y card. rather its warrentys, insurance, points etc etc. I pay for almost every thing with a CC. The diffrence is i pay it off very quickly, with in a matter of hours generally, for work it was almost always with in 30-60 days. I just don't understand why some one would wait inline to buy what ammounts to a toy. Yeah, a smart phone can be useful for work, but very few could justify having the latest and greatist, let alone taking time off work to get it.

I worked for a guy with a Bachelors from ND, a MBA from Harvard, Air Force Captain who now owns the company and HE IS one of these people! Every new Apple device he's in line waiting!
He lives, eats and breaths iPhones, iPad, iPods,.... a real douche as well!

I have found that most (but not all) iphone owners I have met are self-centered narcissistic jerks. They think the mere possession of an iphone makes them vastly superior to everyone else. And Apple does all that it can to promote that image.
So basically they are sheep that are easily lead. Do not try to engage one in an actual conversation that has to deal with facts. Pretty much like your standard issue Obama voter.

I have an iPhone but it's purely a tool! Nothing more.
Tried something else but the wife couldn't figure it out so the apple got the mod.

i think mba from harvard summed him up. I know a few iphone users that are apple fan boys, but most of the iphone user I know got them becuase they are more accessable to the blind, where the low vizion group prefers android as its more accessable to them. I know more people that will never touch one do to how evil of a company apple is then are fanboys. I don't wait inline unless I have to, no way in hell I would do it for a electronic gizmo. i would go some place else where I can get service, even if it costs me more.
