What does that mean? I just found out I'm in TSAs "pre-check" database. I get a preferential security check. I don't have to remove my shoes. I can leave computer in the bag. Shorter wait time.
But does that mean they're keeping a closer eye on me? I didn't apply for it and I only fly twice a year.
Keep your friends close and your enemies closer?

Nothing to worry about. It just means they already went through your bags while you were out of the house. :P

Its just a money grab, pay a fee, they use lube on the anal probe instead of it being dry. i did it, out side of the big/hubs its of no use. so unless you are flying out of one of those don't bother. Hubs don't matter as you never leave the secuirty zone.

Thing is I didn't apply for it, or pay for it. And I'm not a frequent flyer. The tsa were a little surprised when I told then that. One agent said somebody must like me.

People get on the No-Fly list by mistake all the time...
You got on the Advance To Go list...I know, I know..it's hard for me to believe there is someone else like you too.

Airlines can add people too. If you fly mostly with one airline, or have a mileage rewards card, or have a airline-associated credit card (especially if you've had the cc for many years or it is a 'elite' card) they probably added you.
-
Nope to the airline thingy. Back in the day, pre-2001, I was gold medallion hovering on being platinum with delta. But sine then it's who has the lowest rate. American, Usair SW, Delta. No airline credit cards.
Here's my guess. I've renewed my drivers license which is now one of those fancy Secure licenses. I also renewed my CCW, which is also a secure, "government issued" id. Wondering if all those background checks didn't bubble over to TSA?

What's really weird is that you didn't ask for, or pay any fee for it.
I wonder how many Ahknod Notsosmartbombs got added to the list too without asking.
Maybe on the return trip is when they cavity search. :D
When available, the application will be a two-step process:
1.Fill out an online application.
2.Verify identity and provide fingerprints at a TSA Pre✓™ enrollment center.
Applicants may pay the anticipated $85 enrollment fee online, or at an enrollment center.

Yes this is very weird. Maybe they're setting me up for a big fall.
