Title: Ruger 380 LCP
Post by: rocco102 on May 26, 2008, 11:29:22 PM
I have been with my Ruger LCP for a month now. I have to tell you ruger did a good job on this little gun. I put grip extensions, also with hogue slide grips on mine and loaded with Extreme shock ammo. This gun ROCKS!!!! 8)

It looks sweet!..  Perhaps it's because it is a polymer and metal combo.. and it's stealthy black in color..  hmm maybe I'm just partial.. but it looks nice..

Very nice. I especially like the addition of the grip extension.
I also think any bad guys who are foolish enough to tangle with you will be
VERY sad to find out you load up with Extreme Shock ammo.

Right up to the point they bleed out. 8)

I just carried my Noisy Cricket CCW for the first time this weekend. I realized immediately I need more mags than the one - count'em one - mag Ruger included. I could have done without the spiffy little pouch and silly little lock that came along, and settled for a second mag.

Anyhow, got a DeSantis pocket holster and carried it in the front right pocket. Holster did well most of the time, and I was doing heavy lifting and moving, and everything stayed put.

I got my mag extension off ebay. Could not get the Kel-Tec web store to come up, some kind of problem.

rocco you have done some after market work to yours, the sights and the extension are nice, but is that the standard barrel? it is a nice looking piece, how does it handle on the range?

I have done some work to my little piece and I color the sights on the gun which made it alot easier on the range, also that is the standard barrel. I have not yet shoot it with my Hogue jr grips and the grip extension on the range. As soon as I go I will post it. Thanks for your comments. Have a great day!!!!

I use a DeSantis pocket holster on mine when it's not in the little SafePacker...The SafePacker has become a workhorse with the LCP...carried it on my bike today; slipped it on the belt for dinner.

Great looking grip extensions!

Wow , I remember seeing those in Shotgun News a few years ago for around $500 If I remember right, as well as the Mateba Rifle. Webley made an auto revolver years ago, I THINK it was the Webley Fosbury. I think it's a waste of engineering, what were they trying to accomplish ?

Well here it is I went to the range and shot my Ruger LCP with my new extension grips and Hogue Jr. slide grip and I have to tell you it makes this little gun more accurate. Before, I had to readjust the gun in my hands after two shots, Now I do not have to do that, I can shoot the whole magazine hitting every shot on target without any adjustment. 8)

I made the same changes to the LCP and find that to be the answer to the one and a half finger hold. Like you I had to adjust the piece several times for each mag run. Now there is no problem. I also put fluorescent paint on the front sight for my old eyes.
Ruger give us a 7 round mag with same thickness end plate and you will have the excellent control  lacking at this point with the 6 round mag. Just my opinion.

Little? As I recall mine came with a lock twice the size and 4 times the weight of the gun.

:) Has anybody come up with an extended magazine for the LCP .380,  say an eight round or something like that to make the grip a little more manageable?

Haven't seen any with more than 6 rounds, but there are 6 round extended magazines available:
