Not wanting to beat the ACA issue in the dirt, but I ran across a quote in an article about insurance issues that sums it all up for the sheep that voted for BHO.
Under Stadler’s expiring policy, his premiums are $411 a month, for coverage that always seemed adequate to him.
“It’s not a substandard policy,” he says. “I thought it was a great deal.”
The premium for the new policy offered by his insurer will be $843 a month, with coverage that’s more or less the same as far as he’s concerned. But new policies are required to include free preventive services such as mammograms and colonoscopies, and they can’t be canceled or priced higher for sicker people, which is why the cost of some policies is going up.
Since Stadler’s family’s income is too high to qualify for federal subsidies, he’s considering putting his kids on the policy his wife, a teacher, gets through her job. But that would be expensive, too.
And the winning quote:
“The thing that gets me,” says Stadler, who voted for Obama in the 2012 presidential election, “is I thought Barack Obama was the only guy I could trust in Washington. He ended up lying to me because he said, if I like my insurance, I could keep it.”
Health Care Shoppers Aren’t as Dumb as Obama Thinks

i know so many blue coller workers losing thier coverage right now its not even funny. I can't fualt the employers. Which achoice would you sleep better with? cutting bennies/ increasing employee contrabutions or laying off good employees so the rest can keep thier bennies? its a hard choice. do you hurt every one a little or do you hurt a small group alot?

My brother lost his family insurance coverage through his job because the small company he works for falls into the category where it is cheaper for them to just pay the fines and not offer insurance.
Sad thing is, his daughter will need heart surgery at some point in the future and now they have no insurance, and buying it privately just doubled or even tripled in plan costs in most cases.

The "Theme" to all the regrets I've heard from the supporters of Obama and Obama Care boil down to:
"I thought it was a GREAT IDEA when I believed someone else would be paying for my coverage."
Which comes down to:
"I don't like Obama Care now that I see they are going to be stealing money from me to pay for it rather than stealing money from someone else to pay for mine."
What surprises me is that these folks somehow don't feel any qualms about admitting that belief system publicly.
Can't find a speck of something to respect in folks like this..and much to despise.
Not a possibility of any redeeming qualities from them when their motivation is based on that outlook.
Raising kids, business or personal dealings; all fouled by the belief that it is fine to steal from others.

And that pretty much sums up the whole stinking mess!
Oh, and something else that really pisses me off is hearing, on the "news" and elsewhere, that some peoples costs are going down. That is a bald faced lie! It isn't going down, they are just getting subsidized by the rest of us. Their plans are going up too and we are paying the difference with that "magic" federal money! They don't even bother to mention to the sheeple, nor do they seem to understand, that money comes from the rest of us.

And the Obama administration is even lying about that number.

The White House PR machine keeps trying to put lipstick on the ObamaCare pig. According to Whitehouse.gov, "there's some great news from a Department of Health and Human Services report... Thanks to Obamacare, half of young adults between age 18 and 34 who are single and uninsured can get health coverage for $50/month or less."
There are two problems with the claim. First, the actual percentage, according to HHS figures, of 18-34 year olds who qualify for the $50/month rate is not "half" but 2.9%. The numbers are 1.3 million out of 44.2 million.
Secondly, the $50/month rate is not a market price but one that is subsidized by an expanded government entitlement.
