458 BC: Aeschylus, Greek playwright, was killed when an eagle dropped a live tortoise on him, mistaking his bald head for a stone.
That's exactly why I always wear a hat.

Yup. Some days we just should not get out of bed.

I do believe that ranks right up there with the sword of Damocles.

So THATS why turtles keep falling on me! WOW! Thanks, Mac.

Yep, that's a good one Jim. As my dog, Scar, taught me, "Why bite, when a good growl will do?"
Love my squirrel blind. AND, it's lightning proof. So far. ;D

I read that page before. Some of the other deaths are quite bizarre and/or stupid.
2008: Isaiah Otieno, a Kenyan foreign exchange student in Canada was crushed by a crashing helicopter while walking down a sidewalk in Cranbrook, British Columbia, Canada.
If it's not a tortise, it's a chopper, a meterorite, or a ball falling out of the sky.

At least no one was killed when SkyLab fell on Alice Springs Australia. Ironic that there is a Sat. tracking station there.
