It's something to have designed the single most popular weapon ever used in war--since the beginning of time.
While I do not own one, I do recognize it for what it is--a very efficient, easily built, reasonably accurate long gun that has been on both sides of most conflicts since its introduction.
And, while I know nothing about the condition of Kalasnikov's soul, he lived his life as a godless commie, so I suspect there won't be much RIP-ing going on, what with all the gnashing of teeth and eternal punishment stuff.
