Amidst all the hustle and bustle of the season I found that the most content and "In the holiday spirit" I felt was when I was sitting with our 11 month old granddaughter asleep on my belly!
Here's wishing you all the peace, contentment and LOVE I felt during those precious moments.
God Bless,
Richard and Norma
PS: This being her first Christmas, she did get into the swing of things later on. LOL

Merry Christmas to all of you!
The Salmon Wellington worked. Alf the Wonder Beagle enjoyed her lamb bone. My Sweetie made a gigantic chocolate cake/pudding from a Nigella Lawson recipe...Ms. Lawson may be a doper/upper-class twit, but darn she has a wicked chocolate recipe!
HO HO HO!

A little late here, but Merry Christmas! :)

Due to my younger son having Christmas Day shift at the fire department, we just had our family Christmas supper tonight...... and just finished the clean-up.....everyone is gone home and the wife and I are in "wind-down-and-chill" mode.
I'm with Ellis on the granddaughter thing.....
In my case, when the four-year old granddaughter would rather sit in PaPa's lap and watch John Wayne movies instead of play with her dolls, it makes Christmas even better.
Had the usual southern 'country-style' vittles..... and my wife tried a new dessert recipe I found on a cooking show on RFD network and have been patiently waiting on her to try (it was worth the wait and is my new favorite dessert....for now ;D .... when I can, I'll type it up and post it in the recipe thread).
Good reports from recent medical tests, for both the older son (cancer this year) and the wife (cancer a few years back), made for a great holiday season.
Hope you all had a great Christmas..... and best wishes for a great 2014.

I've been too busy enjoying Christmas and keeping up with family all over the place.
So this is late, but I hope you all enjoyed Christmas and were gifted the best things in life. Happy Birthday, Jesus.
