Title: God has a sense of humor - Ship out to prove ice cap melting stuck in ice
Post by: Solus on December 30, 2013, 02:50:24 PM
I guess this might not prove the polar ice is not melting, but is sure is funny.

'Stuck in our own experiment': Leader of trapped team insists polar ice is melting

...indications are that the 74 (crew members) will have to be evacuated.

Yup - I had to laugh at that one when I heard/read about a few days ago. A similar thing happened a couple of years ago. A group from Mich. (I think) took a trip up to the Artic circle to document "global warming" now known as "Climate change" (funny how the terminology changed when Al Gore's propaganda/agenda wasn't being met weather wise).
The group couldn't get any film footage because it was so cold the camera batteries wouldn't hold a charge for very long due to the extreme cold, some of folks had to be treated for frost bite. After 2 weeks they abandoned the project due to the heat wave. ;D

It gets better.....the Chinese icebreaker ship sent to rescue the Russian research ship is stuck in the ice too.

The United States Coast Guard is sending the Oregon-based icebreaker Polar Star south to the Antarctic to free a Russian research ship that got trapped in the ice, and also to free a Chinese icebreaker that got trapped in the ice while trying to free the Russian ship. An Australian icebreaker also was unable to help. The 399-feet long Polar Star can break ice that’s six feet deep, at a continuous rate of three knots.
