Title: Deal? or No Deal? RE: EAA Purchase. Pics. Included
Post by: twyacht on June 01, 2008, 02:59:12 PM
Went to the range (again), and passed by a "just came in" very slightly used EAA Witness .40 S&W. with 3.6" ported barrel, case, manual, and FOUR magazines.

All for,,,,.... $289.00.  ::)  It has the "Wonder finish", and I ran a box of Magtech 180gr. FMJ target ammo through it and had no issues. Very crisp trigger in SA, and not too much pull in DA.  wore a big hole in the 10 ring at 7 and 15 yards. ;)

The "gun guy" said it is like a CZ75. And some online reviews from "Shooting Times", "Gunsmith America" seem favorable for an Italian pistol.
QUESTION: Good buy?  Fair Price? Good Pistol?, Any Issues? Any Pros? Any Cons? Reliable for Carry?
Again, this forums thoughts and knowledge are MUCH appreciated.

If its a "No Deal" give it to me straight, I'm a big boy and can take it.  :'( :'( :'( I'll just cry into my adult beverage.
Thank you very much.

Thats about wholesale on that gun with 2 mags, pretty good deal. I've owned several and still have 1 9mm. A good value for the money, if you like .40 caliber. Mine were very reliable. I owned 2 springfield p9's which is the same gun, with nicer finish, and had no issues with either.

My 2 cents.

I've seen some at some gunshows. A few people like them and they are priced right.. so from what I heard and gathered so far.. they seem like good deals for the money.  :)

Glad to read positive posts, It is just another addition to the ones I have, and it also seemed like a good deal.

Only pistol with a ported barrel I own, so after some more practice, (practice, practice) ;). I look forward to getting reliable, accurate, and enjoyable service from it.

I know there are many, many views on "used" firearms, I too, am hesitant, 90% of the time, but its really clean and has a good "feel" to it.

Thanks again.
