Just an FYI...
On sale for $38. Picked up one of these for the Glock.

This replaces the standard battery cover and puts a activation button on grip.
Now it turns on like a CT laser, just grab it. It still has the paddle switches on the light body.
Putting the switch on the light itself took some effort. I had to take off the lamp front, pad the body with the finger of a glove and use channel lock pliers to compress the rubber gasket on the battery cover. I'd say there is little doubt that it's as waterproof as before with the standard cover.
Putting it on the gun was a piece of cake, it fit perfect. Holster fit was unaffected.

This is the M&P one, $45 (I don't have an M&P so I can't say how it fits those)
