Hello I was wondering how many 10mm fans we have on this forum. I personaly think it is a wonderful cartridge with lots of potential. I only wish more ammo manufacturers would offer loadings so more people could enjoy the 10mm. It only cost a fraction more to reload than the .40 s&w but is so much more lively. I currently only own 1 10mm , my Glock 20. It is my baby. I want a Colt Delta Elite Gold Cup but cost is prohibitive. I even like the old S&W 10mm's. Kimber has the Eclipse in 10mm and 45. A matching pair would be nice. Also Colt announced a new Delta Elite at the shot show. It looks awesome and not too pricey for a Colt. I priced one at my favorite gun shop about 950 with tax. That is cheaper than I can get some of the originals on Gunbroker. Anyway there seems to be a few people trying to keep the 10mm alive, I just wondered how many fans we have here.

Kimber Eclipse in 10MM owner here. Colonel Cooper was right.
Most people don't know the 10MM is loaded down these days because it broke frames, etc. in the early guns that were rushed to production....I use a 24# spring in mine. It came with an 18 # but with full power ammo that's too light. The 40 S&W is a result of the FBI personel not being able to handle the 10 MM (so I've read). Not any difference in off-the-shelf 10MM or 40 S&W these days...that's why I buy off the internet.
I get my ammo, full strength, from www.doubletapammo.com

I love my Witness 10mm ammo cost keep me from shooting it more but when I do I love it. Very accurate and very versatile and I carry it when I think I need something bigger. No cocked and Locked for me just can't get passed that and the 10 mm will do about everything the 45 will. ;D :P

I'm a fan of the 10mm but I don't own one just yet. There are relatively few offerings from gun manufacturers in 10mm, so I have been waiting before I pull the trigger on one. I like the Delta Elite a lot but it's a little more than I am prepared to spend. I had always hoped Springfield would offer an XD in 10mm, maybe the chances of that have increased a bit now that they have introduced the XDm. I'd also like to see a carbine like the Kel Tec sub 2000 chambered for the round.

I own 3 DEs... I'm a big fan of the 10mm, can be loaded anywhere from light plinking to above 357 power.( even full on 357 hand loads)
My only complaint is there really is not an auto pistol out there that can handle the 10 mm. When loaded to full power its just too much.

I too am a big fan of the 10mm. My brother had a Bren 10 back in the day. Very "miami vice". I wonder, could I get a 10mm conversion for my Glock21? :)

Count me in as a closet 10mm fan. I'm in the process of building one right now.
I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to train with the 10mm MP-5's. I think that was the best sub-gun round ever designed. We would shoot steel poppers at 100 yards and the round would still knock over the steel like someone had hit it with a sledge hammer. Shooting 3 rd. bursts was just as easy as the 40 S&W, except you picked up a lot more energy with the 10mm. It was a great CQB setup.
I take a 10mm with me when I go feral hog hunting as my backup.
10mm fans unite!
Erik

Kaboom? Kaboom? What Kaboom? ??? ::)
Art thou (snicker, snicker) referring to yonder handgun thread of the eternal users of the everplastering Block Glock?
OK, OK, I'll lighten up on the the Glock users I know what was meant and that the Glock "Kaboom" thread was about ammo. It was about ammo, eh? ;D
That Austrian handgun is really reliable...but it's still ugly, even in 10MM!

I had a 1006 S&W for many years, it was a great gun. I currently own a DW Pointman 7 in 10mm and a Kimber Custom Target ll. Thr DW is the most accurate of the to and function has been 100% from day one. The kimber not so much. But the 10mm is a fantastic cartridge and Doubletap builds some real Sledgehammer loads for it. And I think a 24# spring is probably a requirement.

Love the 10mm.
