Title: Date Night
Post by: jaybet on June 13, 2008, 07:32:07 PM
Date Night!
I don't have a gig tonight so I got home from work (day job) and took the wife to the range. There was just enough breeze that the bugs weren't bad, so we shot the crap out of some stuff. She likes to ring the steel with her 357s and Osama Bin Butthead got his brains blown out,  and we left the target for the next folks for a little laugh.

We dropped off all our stuff and went to our favorite hangout, the Schooner at the Lobster House. Big boat permanently tied up with a bar. So we have a drink and have some crabmeat, shrimp, oysters and calimari and watch the boats come in from the shark tournament.
We come home and set up and scour and polish our pistols with High Plains Drifter on the dvd. Once they're put away, we have a cocktail and ponder the rest of the evening.
Life is good.

Dates with the wife are good!  On our honeymoon we had a cab driver in St. Thomas tell us some wise words ... "Never let the honey go out to the moon, mon".

That is awesome Jay.

Maybe you could give a little shout to the big man upstairs tonight before you fall asleep. Just drop a thanks. I think sometimes we all forget to do that enough.

Good Job Jman,  ;)

Try to string some of those together for a while, and I can definitely benefit from your excursion, I have been a pretty dull knife for sometime, too many weekends at work. Your date was definitely enviable.

Congrats,  ;D

But remember what Mae West said.  "When I'm good, I'm very good.  But when I'm bad, I'm better!"

Ahh yes,  Pina Coladas on the Schooner are hard to beat.   One of my favorite date destinations back when I lived there.

Gee, I hate to rub it in, but we shot last night and it was too late to clean, so we'll be cleaning again tonight. I'm going on the road for a few days and she likes her 686 to be shiny when it's on guard on the coffee table.
