Title: Collapsable leg on IDPA target
Post by: MichaelJ07 on June 17, 2008, 11:50:19 AM
Hello,

Last Wednesday on our cable station, Shooting Gallery aired an IDPA event.  I believe it featured one of the founders of IDPA.  One of the stagees featured targets shot from under a car in the prone position.  When you shot the "leg" the "body" fell to be shot next.  I am wondering what material is used in the collapsable leg?

Thanks.
Michael

Hello,

The leg was made out of steel and was used not unlike the prop on a car hood.  The bullet knocked it down and activated the drop target.

There are plans for this target on the internet.  You can find them at http://www.parmarng.org/freeidaho/default.html

The plans are free.

Thank you.
